In my last piece, I would go over how there’s different forms of betting other than just sports, and we would specifically cover political betting and the kinds of wagers you can place across the world with different governments.
In our next installment, we’re going to go over another realm that’s good for betting: Entertainment.
From the Game of Thrones to the Avengers, and even betting on WWE’s WrestleMania, there’s plenty of different types of betting to focus on in this realm. And oh man, the amount of prop bets that come along with this type of betting is out of this world — money is to be made all over the place.
The biggest section that will be featured in this piece are bets that are involved with ‘Game of Thrones’ — a show that I’m sure that you, yourself, are into. (I guessed correctly, didn’t I?) How did I know? It simple: Everybody and their mother loves that show. With that being said, I’m going to give the people what they want and we’ll go over a lot of ‘Game of Thrones’ bets. But not to worry if you’re one of the very fringe outliers (like me) who isn’t big into this show, I’ll go over other forms of entertainment as well. “But how can you write about ‘Game of Thrones’ if you’re not a fan?” To be perfectly honest, I know the show very well. I’m forced to watch it all the time with my girlfriend, so believe me, the knowledge is there. I’m just not a fan like everybody else.
For those of you who are fans, like the strong majority of you, get ready to have fun, because we’re about to hop into the ‘game’ and check some of the best bets our top betting sites provide.
Yeah, it’ll definitely be Jon Snow, and this is due to him being apart of a prophecy that said he would be the ruler of Westeros — and not just that, but he’ll be the savior for the land, including against the army of the dead. So there’s no question that it will be Jon Snow, and I’m surprised the odds aren’t drastically more in favor of Snow as a result. Hypothetically, let’s say that Bran Stark did end up being the ruler of Westeros. How would that happen for you to profit from the +200 odds? It won’t, that’s how. Even Bran has visions of Jon being the ruler of Westeros.
Jaime Lannister is the favorite at -200 odds, and for good reason: Jaime is a solider and is the one on the frontlines in combat. Tyrion is kind of at war, but he’s more helping the women and children, obviously putting himself in safer grounds than Jaime. As far as Cersei, she is in King’s Landing, so she’s no where near the war — at least not yet. So go ahead and place your bet on Jaime. With the dead constantly after you trying to kill you, your chances are certainly high of dying. Something that both Cersei and Tyrion don’t have to worry about.
Go ahead and take the latter of ‘Yes’, and make some money with those underdog +300 odds. Rumor around the show is that Daenerys is pregnant, but that’s all it is, it’s just a rumor at this point. Here’s the thing: If she does get pregnant, and there’s a good chance of this due to past actions that we won’t get into, what would be the point of making her pregnant and then killing her off? The writers of the show will certainly use that in their storyline, so yeah, certainly take ‘Yes’ with the +125 odds. I don’t see Daenerys dying off at all.
This is a pretty fun bet to place to have you interested in who the director will select as the leading role of Superman. We’ve all heard the speculation surrounding who it will be, and Michael B. Jordan is currently the favorite with odds-makers and the gambling community with 2.10 odds. Jordan made his mark in the comic book movie world starring in both the ‘Fantastic Four’ and ‘Black Panther’, which now has fans craving to see him as a hero. Now with a new ‘Superman’ movie coming out, here is his opportunity, and that’s lands him as the favorite.
The 91st annual Academy Awards were just two months ago, but the odds-makers already have out the odds for next year’s bet on ‘Best Picture’. Currently, ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’ and ‘The Personal History of David Copperfield’ are tied in first with 7.00 odds. As far as out of those two to land the award, it’s honestly a toss-up which explains the odds. Both of these films are power brands. ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’ is a Quentin Tarantino movie starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt. The other is based on a Charles Dickens novel.
After Ben Affleck decided to pass on the part of Batman, Armie Hammer’s name has been in full circulation for the part — so much that even the odds-makers have him as the 2.00 favorite. Here’s the problem though, and why the odds make change soon: Hammer told TMZ that he isn’t doing the role — well, kind of. After a brief exchange where Hammer said no, a reporter asked him “how about if I see you with a cape?,” and Hammer would respond with, “then you’ll know I’m lying.” So, will the odds change? At this point, we have no idea what’s going on.
Funny enough, there are a load of these bets. You obviously see the one with Charlie Sheen and Magic Johnson, but there’s also one between Betty White and Carol Burnett. Then you have another one between Rosie O’Donnell and Roseanne Barr. Oh, and you also have Jay Leno and David Letterman. And a royalty special between Prince Phillip and Queen Elizabeth. It’s hilarious. As far as this particular bet between Sheen and Johnson, you’ve definitely got to roll with the favorite in Charlie Sheen at -200. He’s on drugs, Magic Johnson is a businessman.
Here’s another fascinating bet that you can place in the entertainment realm. After all of the sports, political and entertainment bets that we’ve gone all over, you can pretty much see that you can invest your money into anything. I love this bet, it’s just very interesting to me to be able to bet on someone’s life like this. It’s like we’re actually partaking in the old “I bet so and so will do this or that” conversations. It’s amazing. As far as this bet is concerned, I would go ahead and gamble on no at +250. I expect him to be out in 2021 and only 83 at the time.
