President Trump has been riding high in the betting odds for quite some time now with the 2020 United States presidential election, and it looked like he was on his way to re-election in a smooth fashion. Most people couldn’t take the current Democratic presidential candidates seriously, or they just laughed at them altogether.
However, when we got to late September, things changed — and quickly. After the House of Representatives would launch their impeachment inquiry, Trump’s odds to win a second term would shoot down. For the candidates in the Democratic Party, their odds would see an increase, even Vice President Mike Pence would see his figure go up. With that being said, Trump was also in plus money when it came to his impeachment odds at +125.
“When it rains, it pours.”
Even more changes would come a month later here in early November. From that +125 figure, Trump would flip all the way to a -170 mark in the odds to be impeached. Those numbers are courtesy of online sportsbook Bovada. Let’s put it even more into perspective, you had mainstream news websites such as Business Insider reporting profitability as high as 75% on some betting sites when it came to the president being impeached. As far as him not being impeached, those odds sit at +170.
If you’re not aware of how things work within the United States government, Trump will be on trial in front of the Senate if he is impeached by the House of Representatives. While on trial, Senators will cast their votes for whether or not the president will be removed from office, and in order for him to be removed, that vote has to receive a two-thirds majority. And I’m here to tell you, that’s not happening with the Republicans controlling the Senate, 53-47. And despite what the odds say, I’m still not completely sure that Democrats want to pull the trigger on this whole impeachment thing, especially considering the chaos that ensued just recently with Republicans storming the Democrats’ “secure room”.
At the same time though, it’s looking like the Democrats are continuing business as usual despite all of the hooplas. And another thing we have to remember with this is how crazy the Democrats have gotten here in 2019, and with them calling for Trump’s impeachment, what exactly would hold them back? I guess I’m just doing something that lacks in the radical Left nowadays, and that’s thinking with common sense.
I guess what puzzles me so much as to why the Democrats are so aggressive towards impeaching Trump, at least one of the reasons, is because of history. When the Republicans tried to impeach President Clinton in the ’90s, not only would it would fail, but Clinton would actually skyrocket to his most popular point in his entire presidency. In the first election after the Republicans’ impeachment inquiry in 1998, it would also embarrass the GOP, with the Democrats gaining five seats in the House of Representatives and sending Republican Newt Gingrich out of the Speaker of the House position. Needless to say, it completely backfired.
And here’s another problem I have with this entire impeachment inquiry: What exactly did President Trump do wrong?
Well, the story is that he reached out to Ukraine and they discussed multiple topics, and one of them had to deal with Trump asking their president Volodymyr Zelensky to investigate our former vice president Joe Biden and his son Hunter for the shady business that they were linked to. Well, instead of focusing on what they were up to, the Democratic Party and mainstream media decided to go after Trump for once again apparently colluding with a foreign nation to help win re-election — nevermind investigating the Bidens for possibly breaking the law and even committing treason.
The president is legally allowed to do this. He’s legally allowed to ask a foreign nation to conduct an investigation, he’s legally allowed to talk about these things with a foreign leader. I just view it as a big “nothing burger”, and of course the Left trying to score some political points. With that being said though, the Democrats do have the numbers in the House of Representatives to be able to pull an impeachment off. We’ll get to that in a second though, because since it seems like nobody wants to talk about the Bidens, I will.
First off, before I begin anything, I would like to give a shout out to Joe Biden as a very well dressed individual. I see him consistently in these Ralph Lauren polos, nice shades, the man is looking nice. But that’s the thing: Why does the man consistently look so nice? How much money is this man making to be able to wear all of this Polo everyday? I’m not the one to ask questions like that, I’m just saying: When you’re in public office, should you be dressing this flashy? It’s just something to think about.
This whole thing started back in March 2014 when Russia had invaded and annexed Crimea when their backed government in Kiev collapsed — if you don’t know, Crimea used to be apart of Ukraine when it was apart of the Soviet Union. Despite the entire world complaining about the Russians’ actions and the United States (among other countries) hitting them with sanctions, Joe Biden’s son, Hunter, conveniently takes a paid job just a month later with a Ukrainian natural gas company named Burisma.
It should also be pointed out that the owner of Burisma, Mykola Ziochevsky, previously served in a Russia-backed government, was under investigation by British authorities over claims of corruption and was also being criticized by the US ambassador at the same time. If all of this already doesn’t spell something fishy with the Bidens, I don’t know what does, especially considering all of this could be linked to former president Barack Obama “having more flexibility” with caving to Vladimir Putin and Russia over missile defense. It just appears that this entire administration was shady and potentially corrupt.
You then had Joe Biden bullying his son out of legal trouble in Ukraine and then bragging about it right on camera. Yes, you read that correctly. According to “Uncle Joe”, he would threaten Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko back in 2016 that if they didn’t fire Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin (who by the way was ahead of a criminal probe into Biden’s son, Hunter), the United States would then withhold a $1 billion loan to them. You know, taxpayer dollars that me and you work hard for, but hey, let’s brag about how much power we have to free our son from a criminal probe even though he was possibly corrupt. That’s exactly what Joe Biden did. Ultimately we gave them the money, and if we didn’t, it would have sent Ukraine into an outright collapse. Here’s the exact quote:
“I said, ‘You’re not getting the billion.’ I’m going to be leaving here in, I think it was about six hours. I looked at them and said: ‘I’m leaving in six hours. If the prosecutor is not fired, you’re not getting the money.’ Well, son of a bitch, he got fired. And they put in place someone who was solid at the time.”
Now it’s funny, I actually saw something from CNN about how Ukraine Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko “alleged” that Biden would do all of this, and would make these claims without any evidence. To prove to you that there is a lot of disinformation out there, and that mainstream media outlets such as CNN blatantly lie to you, let’s roll the tape. The above quote, you can clearly hear Joe Biden say it and brag about it. But hey, there’s no evidence at all, just a video of him saying it.
But let’s ignore all of that. Let’s ignore the fact that Joe Biden’s son, Hunter, took a paid job with a Ukrainian national gas company that was linked to Russia a month after they had invaded Crimea. Oh, and the boss of the company was under investigation for corruption. Nevermind that Hunter Biden then eventually became the center of a criminal probe himself and then Joe Biden bragged about getting his investigator fired to avoid any charges, and did it on camera. Nevermind the previous promise that Barack Obama made to Russia about missile defense. Nevermind all of that.
Both the White House and the official website of the President of Ukraine released transcripts of their call together, and all it really revealed is that Trump wanted a thorough investigation into Joe Biden and his son for possible corruption. I’ve already laid out everything for you, and I’m sure you understand my concern here. Not only is everything Trump doing legal as the President of the United States, but there is real potential corruption here from the Bidens.
Even Ukraine released a statement about the call between Trump and their president: “Donald Trump is convinced that the new Ukrainian government will be able to quickly improve the image of Ukraine, complete investigations of corruption cases, which inhibited the interaction between Ukraine and the USA.”
There was nothing done wrong here by President Trump. And as far as the “whistleblower” for this entire thing, there’s just way too much inconsistency for valid credibility for me.
Right away it says in their complaint that they weren’t there for the vast majority of what they’re claiming. We’ve already seen false hate crimes, ridiculous claims against SCOTUS Brett Kavanaugh and massive “fake news” regarding the president. I just can’t help but to have the feeling that something is up here too — simply put, I think it’s just another attempt to take out Trump by the Democratic Party and other powers involved.
Notice how nobody is talking about the wrongdoings of Joe Biden and his son, Hunter?
Yeah, that’s what I mean, especially considering President Trump did nothing illegal, yet, Joe Biden is still in the 2020 Democratic presidential primaries dealing with minimal scrutiny regarding the Ukraine scandal. But with what we’ve already seen the past two and a half years, why in the hell should we be surprised by all of this insanity going on?
Despite everything I say and all of the facts I lay out, however, the Democrats have the numbers in the House of Representatives to pull off an impeachment. As crazy as it sounds, we are certainly looking at a realistic situation where Trump could be impeached. Now calm down, Never Trumpers. This doesn’t mean he’ll be removed from office, the Democrats need a two-thirds majority vote in the Senate in order to accomplish this, and that’s not happening with the Republicans having a six-seat grab over that wing of Congress. But as far as the president being “impeached”, yes, that’s very likely to happen at this point.
The Trump administration shot themselves in the foot recently as well that has contributed to the rise in the betting odds. The main reason why the Democrats launched this impeachment inquiry was because of their accusation that Trump was involved in a quid pro quo, and this was due to him holding back foreign aid to the Ukrainians unless they investigated the corruption linked to the Bidens — something that is completely legal by the way. Regardless, the Democrats are still doing their thing. However, though Trump said there was no quid pro quo, his Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney contradicted that while talking to the media.

Later that day to make matters worse, Mulvaney would then contract himself by saying that there was no quid pro quo, and all of this has definitely contributed to the odds shooting up to -170 like they have. On top of that, you also have the House Judiciary Committee calling witness after witness to testify about the so-called quid pro quo and the connections between the Trump administration and Ukraine. There’s been reports in the mainstream media that have been saying that some of them are making a strong case, but take that for what it’s worth, but the committee isn’t getting everything they want with the White House blocking others from testifying to limit the information that Democrats can obtain.
Plain and simple, this whole thing is a mess. On one end, you have the president who technically hasn’t done anything wrong and hasn’t broken any laws, yet he is at a serious threat of being impeached. On the other end, you have Joe and Hunter Biden possibly involved in a boat load of corruption, and a very minimal amount of people are acknowledging it. But this is politics in 2019, this is where we’re at.
Ultimately, President Trump will get impeached. There’s no way around that. The Democrats have the numbers and can certainly pull the trigger anytime they want. Yeah, I think it’s political suicide. Yeah, the president did nothing wrong. Yeah, I think we should be focused on Joe Biden and his corruption. But that doesn’t change anything. Trump will be impeached.
But remember what I’ve told you: He’s not being removed from office. That’s a completely separate issue than impeachment and the Republicans have the numbers as far as that move is concerned. But with Trump being impeached, I would certainly place the yes bet, with it absolutely killing the Democratic Party in the 2020 elections.
BETTING PREDICTION: Yes (-170)
