From the NFL Draft to the NBA Finals to the Belmont Stakes, the rest of the year is loaded with sporting events to make a dollar on. In other words, there’s always a bang for bucks.
And it’s not just your standard athletics, there are tons of sports to choose from to place a bet. Here are just a few of the sports that are profitable:
Yes, you read that correctly. We actually have drone racing to select from with our gambling portfolio. With each passing year, sports get more technological and new sports continuously are thrown into the ring of betting. 2019 is a poster child for that.
Each month bring us a magnitude of bets to place, and no matter which one you’re in, there’s never a shortage of ‘cha-chings’ being chung — okay, that’s not a word, but regardless, there’s money to be made! Let’s go over the 2019 campaign!
The NFL Draft takes place in Nashville, TN from April 25-27, and there are multiple bets that you can place including, but the two big ones are: 1. Which players will be picked first overall, 2. Prop bets. With the first overall bet, the top players in the odds are currently Kyler Murray (-500), Nick Bosa (+225), Quinnen Williams (+1800) and Josh Allen (+2000).
With prop bets, you have options including:
After we get through the first round of the playoffs (currently underway), the postseason gets even more intense and heated up as we advance to the conference semifinals. For this event, there will be plenty of diverse bets to choose from. The biggest are game picks, prop bets and the overall big one is who is going to win the whole series. These bets are obviously are a lot more profitable due to the circumstances, and due to power brands starting to take on each other. The closer we get to the NBA Finals, the more the entertainment value skyrockets.
The next installment of the Champions League will be the 1st Leg of the Semi-Finals, which will be held on April 30 and May 1. The final four teams in the Champions League are Tottenham Hotspur, Barcelona, Ajax, and Liverpool — the matches will consist of Tottenham vs. Ajax and Barcelona vs. Liverpool. I’ve done a series of these predictions throughout the Champions League, and will continue to do so when the Semi Finals approaches us. And that’s where you can make your buck at in this event too: Game picks. It’ll leave you on the edge of your seat.
The 2019 World Snooker Championship (known as the 2019 Betfred World Snooker Championship for sponsorship purposes) is a professional snooker tournament that takes place at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield, England. This event, though not the most popular in the world, will be on its 43rd consecutive year of action. As far as the winner of the tournament is concerned, they’re awarded £500,000 out of a £2,231,000 pool. With all of this money up for grabs, you know what that means: Odds are around. Place a bet of who you think can win!
Still only a baby, the Baku City Circuit has only held a hand full of races in its existence debuting just two years ago in 2016. They host three major events throughout every year: European Grand Prix, Azerbaijan Grand Prix and the FIA Formula 2. In April, it’s the Azerbaijani Grand Prix Baku City Circuit, which is obviously this month. And you know what means: The odds are out in full force for the race. Similar to horse racing, you’re picking a potential winner and winner(s) to make your money, which helps with the already high adrenaline rush.
Next month, we’ll arrive to the final four of the NBA Playoffs when we have two teams each from the East and the West colliding with each other for supremacy over their respective conference — and things are a lot more interesting now before the postseason started. In the West, we have a dilemma where the conference has opened up a little bit due to the Golden State Warriors center DeMarcus Cousins being unable to return to the postseason. As far as the East is concerned, that one is completely open with the Bucks, Raptors, 76ers, and Celtics.
A couple of weeks later at the end of the month, we then have the last installment of the 2018-19 NBA season: the NBA Finals. Even without DeMarcus Cousins, the Golden State Warriors should fill the spot for the Western Conference. What’s up for more debate is the Eastern Conference and who will enter the Finals from it. And obviously with it being the final round of the postseason for the National Basketball Association, the kinds of bets (game picks and prop bets) you can make are very profitable — and believe me, there’s a lot of different ones.
After the 1st Leg of the Champions League Semi-Finals is held on April 30 and May 1, the 2nd Leg then gets brought to us on May 7 and 8. The biggest question going into the 2nd Leg will be the obvious: Which two of the four remaining teams will have the pressure applied after a 1st Leg loss? Tottenham Hotspur, Ajax, Barcelona or Liverpool? Or will there any draws that make those clubs’ second match even more intense? We’ve approached the boiling point of the most prestigious tournament in soccer — which makes the bets come with even higher payouts.
The 1st and 2nd Legs of the Europa League Semi-Finals will be held in early May — the 1st Leg is on May 2, while the 2nd Leg is on May 9. After that smoke clears out, we then get taken to the Europa League — basically a pool of teams who weren’t able to position themselves to get into the hierarchy of the UEFA Champions League. These bets aren’t as profitable as the Champions League, but you can make some good money with the right gambles. Game picks, prop bets, take your choice. The payout is worth it due to prestigious clubs still being involved.
Unlike the Champions and Europa League, the FA Cup (officially known as The Football Association Challenge Cup) is a tournament held every year between top clubs in England, and just England. But that doesn’t mean that prestige isn’t there, power brands such as Chelsea, Manchester United, Manchester City, and Arsenal compete in this event annually, and it’s also produced a sexy sponsor in Emirates. So you know what that mixture means: These bets will come with cash. Just like other tournaments, get your groove on with game picks and props.
After Tiger Woods secured his fifth Master Tournament win just this month, we now enter the 101st PGA Championship next month with some interesting odds to win the event. Check this out. SportsLine simulated the 2019 PGA Championship 10,000 times, and this is the leaderboard that they came up with: 1. Tiger Woods (17-2) 2. Dustin Johnson (19-2) 3. Rory McIlroy (19-2) 4. Justin Thomas (13-1) 5. Brooks Koepka (15-1) — In other words, a lot of money can be made here with both the names involved and the prestige of the tournament.
The beginning of the horse racing triple crown, the Kentucky Derby, is only weeks away. And you know what that means: The odds are out in full force. Omaha Beach (3-1), Roadster (4-1), Game Winner (8-1), Improbable (8-1) and Maximum Security (10-1) are the top five, and Tacitus (10-1), Vekoma (12-1), War of Will (18-1), Spinoff (25-1) and Win Win Win (25-1) round out the top 10. There are multiple ways to make a load of cash in this event, and there’s plenty to go around. Starting with the standard, you have the “win”, “place” and “show” bets.
Just two weeks after the Kentucky Derby comes The Preakness Stakes. Right now, there are no odds out for The Preakness Stakes, because they wait until the Derby is over before they do that. But here’s what I can say about The Stakes: Judging by how tight the field is for the Kentucky Derby and how there’s no clear favorite to win, you can expect The Preakness Stakes to be just as close and intense. As far as betting is concerned, after the standard bets mentioned earlier, you can also get into “exacta” and “trifecta” bets.
The French Open (also called Roland Garros) is a two-week tournament that starts at the end of May and goes into near the middle of June. What’s so significant about the French Open is that it’s one of the four events to make up the Grand Slams of tennis (Australian Open, French Open, Wimbledon, US Open). In the men’s singles, the top three favorites are Rafael Nadal (-110), Novak Djokovic (+185) and Dominic Thiem (+1200). In the women’s singles, the top three favorites are Simona Halep (+500), Serena Williams (+650) and Naomi Osaka (+900).
The most prestigious race in the IndyCar Series, one of the most prestigious in the realm of racing, and a huge event apart of Memorial Day weekend and all of the partying that Americans partake in, the Indianapolis 500 right around the corner. Another major factor for the Indy 500 is that it’s apart of the triple crown in the world of motorsports to go along with the Monaco Grand Prix and the 24 Hours of Le Mans. As of now, here are the current odds for the 103rd Indianapolis 500: 1. Will Power (7-1) 2. Josef Newgarden (7-1) and 3. Alexander Rossi (8-1).
