The Los Angeles Clippers travel to the City of Brotherly Love to take on the Philadelphia 76ers at the Wells Fargo Center on Tuesday night.
The Clippers were the preseason favorites to win the NBA title and are still the top favorites to be crowned as the next NBA champions but injuries have prevented them from playing at that level. They have found a groove as of late with only three losses in their last 10 outings and four wins in their last five assignments. The Sixers have struggled on the road but have been near-immaculate at home. Philly is 24-2 at home this season and they look to add the Clippers among their victims at the Wells Fargo Center.
After struggling with injuries to start the year, the Los Angeles Clippers have found their winning formula. The Clippers have won seven out of their last 10 games played, including four out of their last five, and they are coming off a 41-point road win over the hapless Cleveland Cavaliers.
Kawhi Leonard sat out the game against the Cavs but the Clippers had no problems dispatching their opponents. Lou Williams led the Clippers with 25 points while Paul George added 22 points. Marcus Morris scored 10 points in his first game since being traded from the New York Knicks.
The LA Clippers are 4th in the league in scoring at 115.8 points per game. They are the 2nd best rebounding team in the league at 48.2 boards grabbed per contest and are 18th in passing at 23.9 dimes per contest. The Clippers are 13th in scoring defense at 109.7 points per game allowed.

The Philadelphia 76ers are happy to be back at home. The Sixers have struggled to play on the road this season, going 9-19 away from home. However, this team is 24-2 at the Wells Fargo Center and they are looking for another win at home against the surging Clippers.
The Sixers are coming off a 118-111 win over the Chicago Bulls last Sunday. The win was their second in a row after four straight losses on the road. Furkan Korkmaz scored 31 points off the bench and he has tallied a total of 65 points in his last two outings. Joel Embiid had a dominant game with 28 points, 12 rebounds, 5 assists, and four blocked shots.
The Sixers are ranked 22nd in scoring at 108.6 points per game this season. They are 8th in rebounding at 45.9 boards grabbed per contest and are also 7th in passing at 26.1 assists per game. Philadelphia is ranked 4th in scoring defense at 106.3 points per game allowed.
The LA Clippers are 4-1 SU in their last five games played. The Clippers are 5-2 SU in their last seven games played on the road. The Sixers are 2-4 SU in their last six games played. Philadelphia is 10-0 SU in their last 10 games played at home, and 4-1 SU in their last five games against the Western Conference. Head to head, the Sixers are 5-1 SU in their last six games played against the Clippers.
The Clippers have won four out of their last five games and seem to be finally hitting their stride. The addition of Marcus Morris gives them another reliable offensive weapon. The Clippers are one of the best offensive teams in the league this season and given how the Sixers have performed on that end of the court, Philadelphia cannot go toe to toe with LA when it comes to scoring.
The Sixers though have played tough defense at their home floor. Philly is allowing its opponents to shoot just 44.3% from the floor and if there’s an area where they are better than the Clippers, it may be on defense. Embiid has been playing well since his return. He needs to have a big game on both ends if the Sixers are to win.
Philadelphia is a solid 24-2 SU at their home floor this season. The Clippers have been so-so on the road at 15-11 but they have shown up in big games. It’s unclear if Patrick Beverley will suit up for this game but with Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, Lou Williams, and Montrezl Harrell at Doc Rivers’ disposal, the Clippers are a tough team to beat even on the road. I like Leonard and George to deliver big games and the Clippers continuing their momentum.
PREDICTION: LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS
The Clippers are 6-4 ATS in their last 10 games played. The LA Clippers are 4-2 ATS in their last six games played on the road, and 6-1 ATS in their last seven games played against the Eastern Conference. The 76ers are 1-6 ATS in their last seven games played. Philadelphia is 2-2 ATS in their last four games played at home. Head to head, the Sixers are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games played against the Clippers. Philadelphia is also 4-1 ATS in their last five home games played against the LA Clippers.

This is one of the more difficult games to pick for Tuesday night. The Sixers have suffered double-digit losses to the Milwaukee Bucks, Miami Heat, and Boston Celtics but they have won back to back games. Meanwhile, the Clippers have found a groove and have won four out of their last five games played. The Sixers have covered only once in their last seven games played while the Clippers have covered well against teams from the East. The Clippers have flip-flopped all season but have always come up big in big games.
PREDICTION: CLIPPERS -1.5
The total has gone under in six out of the last 10 games played by the Clippers. The under is 4-2 in the LA Clippers’ last six road games. The total has gone over in five out of the last seven games played by the Sixers. The over is 3-1 in the Sixers’ last four games played at home. Head to head, the total has gone under in four out of the last five games between the Clippers and Sixers.

The Clippers are one of the best offensive teams in the league this season and they have put up at least 115 points in four out of their last five games played. With their All-Star duo leading them, the Clippers have plenty of firepower on offense. The Sixers are in the Bottom10 of the league when it comes to scoring but when you look at their line-up, this is a team that can put up points in a hurry if they want to. Philly has scored at least 115 points in each of their last two games played. I like these teams to play the over.
